A Positive Outlook For A Positive Life
Optimism - But How?
Even though my body aches most in the waking hours—I love that I wake up to the pain.
Even though a day's worth of screeching little girls would normally explode my head – I welcome the fact that I can hear them.
Even though my eyesight worsens as ages take over my days – I welcome my eye's sight of the day's sun and evening's midnight black sky and its ability to differentiate every shade of the rainbow.
Even though my sense of smell has weakened since the beginning of motherhood, I'm thankful that I can sense a dirty diaper and the body order test to remind me its time for a fruity-fresh shampooed head of hair to sweeten each bear hug we share.
Even though I was a picky eater as a child, I'm thankful I trained my taste buds to try new things so I can truly sense the difference between delicious and disgusting.
Even though I pray for painless sensations, and controllable movement in my hands and feet, I'm thankful that I still have my hands and feet.
So while I want so much more in life – I welcome my present being and thankful for all that I can still sense.
With faith and an optimistic outlook, I know this time will past and what's meant to be will come to past as well.
Till then, I'll continue to turn my complaints into a blessing – and that's how I stay so optimistic.
